About the Study:
The aim of this study was to assess ex vivo the erosive effects of passive ultrasonic irrigation versus irrigation with reciprocating activation on the dentinal surface of the root canal at 3 predetermined levels using environmental scanning electron microscopy.
Highlights from the study:
“Within the limits of the present ex vivo study, it can be concluded that PUI and irrigation with reciprocating activation systems, when used with 2.5% NaOCl and 17% EDTA substances, proved equal in terms of the degree of erosion caused to the root canal dentinal surface”
