The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of passive ultrasonic irrigation and EasyClean for removing residual filling material in retreatment.
Highlights from the study:
“Passive ultrasonic activation and continuous irrigant agitation with EasyClean [BassiClean] significantly increased the removal of filling material (p < 0.05) in all thirds of the root canal. The median, minimum and maximum values of percentage of cleanliness of the root canal walls in the apical, middle and cervical thirds”
